Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival
The 3rd Annual Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival, presented by the Ocracoke Island Decoy Carvers Guild, will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, in the Berkley Barn. In addition to all kinds of decoys on display, the event will have presentations on the art of carving, raffles and food.
The annual festival draws hundreds of attendees which include carvers and collectors from Ocracoke Island and the region. Explore the displays of carvers showing and selling their items.
There will be decoy carvings of redheads, ruddy ducks, blue bills, ringnecks, swans, geese, shorebirds and more, along with artwork and artifacts related to North Carolina’s rich waterfowl tradition.
Nathan Spencer of Ocracoke will be this year’s featured carver. The featured duck will be the Ringneck.
In addition to all kinds of decoys on display, the event will have presentations on the art of carving.
Merchandise will be available for sale including T-shirts, hats and the popular event poster. There will be plenty of food.
Fun for the Entire Family
This is a great family event. There will be kids decoy painting sessions, raffles and a decoy head-carving contest.
