9th Annual Scallywag 5K/10K - Saturday, April 25th 2020
This event is a benefit for Ocracoke Community Radio WOVV, Ocracoke School Athletic Boosters Club, and the Ocracoke Community Park.

Join us on April 25, 2020 at 8:00am for Ocracoke Island's 9th annual 5k/10k. The 5k/10k run will take place in the Village of Ocracoke through historic neighborhoods, by Ocracoke Harbor, and by the 2nd oldest lighthouse in the United States in continuous service. The course is basically flat. All accommodations are within walking or biking distance to the start/finish line. Bike and golf cart rentals are available. There will be limited parking near the start/finish line. The top three male and female runners will receive an award as well as the top three male and female finishers of each age category. All 5k/10k finishers receive a finisher medal. All 5k/10K runners will receive a high quality t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed after April 8th pre-registration). Beginning at 11:30am Gaffer's Sports Pub will host post run party. There will be no charge for 5k/10K runners. Food and beverages will be provided.

Lt. Maynard's Challenge

Are you bursting with energy? The Lt. Maynard's Challenge is just the thing for you! Lt. Maynard's Challenge participants will complete either the Scallywag 5K or 10K on Saturday, April 25th AND the Blackbeard's Half Marathon on Sunday, April 26th, 2020. All Lt. Maynard's Challenge finishers will receive a unique finisher item to recognize their special achievement. Participants wishing to participate in Lt. Maynard's Challenge must register for either the 5K or 10K AND the 1/2 Marathon and add the challenge option during half marathon registration. Complete this challenge to receive bragging rights thus far only enjoyed by Lt. Maynard himself. Can you slay Blackbeard?
